Savvy joined the Brain Bytes Creative team as a creative consultant in 2011. He combines the creativity of an award winning writer/director with the rigor of an organizational development consultant. On the creative side, Savvy has worked in the independent film space for the last five years. His first feature film, My Sixteenth Summer, did pretty well on the festival circuit in 2009. The film won the “Maverick Award” at MethodFest (LA), was nominated for Best International Indie Feature at Okanagan (Canada). It was also accepted into several other festivals and is currently being evaluated by several distributors and sales agents. His second feature film, Quarterlife Ben, is just out of post production and hopefully on its way to film festivals around the country. Savvy is currently working on two new features, Borders – a post apocalyptic drama, and Trevor Jones and The Mystery of the Prep School Ghouls – a kid appropriate monster loving thriller.
On the business side, Savvy Lorestani has worked in talent management and leadership development with clients in the entertainment, retail, banking, information technology, and transportation industries. His areas of expertise fall specifically within the areas of assessment and selection, coaching, and training and development.
Savvy is experienced in a variety of assessment methods, including assessment centers and 360° feedback. He has developed competency models and career mapping processes and tools. He has served on selection system design projects and has experience conducting content expert interviews for selection profile validation. He has participated in large-scale corporate reorganizations and has led and assisted with a number of OD strategy projects. In addition, he has supported the building and delivery of assessment centers for clients. Finally, Savvy is also experienced in training and development; he has developed and delivered training programs varying in size from a class of 30 to an audience of over 100,000.
Savvy holds a BA in literature from Emory University and an MBA from Georgia State University.
